EU will 'blame' Cameron for Brexit says Radek Sikorski

28 June 2016 Last updated at 09:51 BST
European leaders will "blame" the UK Prime Minister David Cameron for Brexit, the former Polish foreign minister Radek Sikorski has told BBC HARDtalk.
"Everybody will think that he is to blame, because he called an unnecessary referendum," he said.
"Yes he tried to win it, but he tried to win it after decades of unfair criticisms of the European Union in his party and under his leadership, and those decades of misinformation to the British public - about how the EU actually works - have now borne fruit," Mr Sikorski added.
Prime Minister Cameron will meet European Union leaders to discuss the implications of the Brexit vote and the way forward at an EU summit in Brussels.
Watch the interview in full at these times on BBC World News and the  BBC News Channel and after transmission on BBC iPlayer (UK only).
